How did you start your homegrown business?
I gradually started developing interest in making natural skincare products and I started by making some products for friends and family which they loved. I then studied Diploma of Cosmetic Science and now I am a qualified cosmetic chemist.
What inspires you?
Nature is my biggest inspiration. I love how natural ingredients smell and function for the mind and body.
What are the benefits of manufacturing locally?
Manufacturing locally keeps the jobs in the community which is beneficial for the overall growth of our community and eventually our country.
What makes the Australian consumer unique?
Aussie consumers value the hard work of small businesses and are always looking for something unique that a boutique small home grown business has to offer.
What is the best business advice you have ever received?
It is never too late to start.
What are some of the biggest challenges you have had to overcome in business?
COVID was one of my biggest challenges which forced me to have a stronger online presence.
What has been your positive take away from the COVID-19 pandemic?
Due to COVID-19 my brand has a stronger online presence with over 15 online retailers listing my products.
What was your first job?
My first job in Australia was in a call centre selling telephone connections to people.
